Rex Burkhead (ribs) ruled out by Patriots for Week 3
New England Patriots running back Rex Burkhead (ribs) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Houston Texans.
Burkhead has been dealing with a rib injury all week and will not suit up in Week 3. His absence leaves more snaps available for Dion Lewis and James White on Sunday. Danny Amendola returning from injury will help pick up the slack as well.
Burkhead was projected for just 5.3 touches for 26.8 total yards on Sunday by numberFire's models. He has just 67 yards on 9 touches through 2 games.
