Cooper Kupp quiet again for Rams in Week 3
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp saw 2 targets and caught both for 17 yards in Thursday night's Week 3 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
After seeing 6 targets in each of his first two NFL games, Kupp played a reduced role in Week 3 as the Rams relied more on Todd Gurley, Sammy Watkins, and Robert Woods to move the ball down the field. With Jared Goff much more willing to air it out this season, Kupp may not be as heavily involved as some thought heading into his rookie campaign. The Rams travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys in Week 4.
Per numberFire Live, Kupp finished with 1.70 Reception Net Expected Points in Week 3, meaning a league average wide receiver would have scored 1.70 fewer points than he did if put in similar situations. His 2.7 FanDuel points fell well short of what our models expected (9.2).
