Mohamed Sanu

'Fearless' Mohamed Sanu garnering praise from Falcons' coaches and teammates

Atlanta Falcons' wide receiver Mohamed Sanu will go toe-to-toe with the Detroit Lions in Week 3.

What It Means:

Sanu has made 11 catches on 15 targets for 132 yards this year. His productive play has turned some heads in his own locker room. “He is unique because often times a person that plays in the slot is a smaller guy who has really good change of direction,” Falcons coach Dan Quinn said. “He just happens to be a taller guy who can bend and still change direction. So you can imagine how difficult that is for option routes to cover somebody who has the change of direction beat man to man and still have aggressive hands. He’s a very difficult matchup inside.” On Sunday, Sanu will face a Lions' secondary that has allowed 6.0 yards per pass attempt, the 11th-best mark in the league, in 2017.

Our models rank Sanu as the 36th-best wide receiver in Week 3. We project him for 9.6 FanDuel points with 4.15 receptions for 48.15 yards and 0.5 touchdowns on 5.33 targets. The veteran wideout will run you $5,400 this weekend.
