Jordan Reed (chest, toe) "not healthy right now" for Washington
Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed (chest, toe) is "not healthy right now," head coach Jay Gruden admitted on Wednesday.
Reed didn't practice Wednesday as he battles a chest injury and continues to deal with a broken toe that has been an issue since before the season started. If active, Reed will be a TE1 play in Week 3 against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday Night Football. He has 11 catches for 84 yards on 14 targets through the first two games. In the event Reed is ruled out, Vernon Davis would be a viable streaming option.
Taking his health into account, numberFire's models conservatively project Reed to see 3.5 targets versus the Raiders while finishing with 2.6 receptions for 30.5 yards and 0.19 touchdowns in Week 3. He comes with a $6,700 price tag on FanDuel and is currently tied as the TE23 in our weekly fantasy rankings.
