Alex Collins may have earned more work in Ravens' backfield
Baltimore Ravens running back Alex Collins earned more playing time following his Week 2 performance versus the Cleveland Browns, head coach John Harbaugh suggested.
"When you play well, you earn more playing time," Harbaugh said. Collins logged only 8 snaps in Week 2, but he made the most of it by averaging 6.0 yards per attempt on 7 carries. If Terrance West (soft-tissue) can't play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3, Collins could see an expanded workload as the Ravens' second back behind Buck Allen.
Despite the solid showing, Collins finished last on the Ravens with -4.63 Rushing Net Expected Points in Week 2, per numberFire Live. That means a league average running back would have scored 4.63 more points than Collins did if put in similar situations.
