Chris Johnson could move up Cardinals' depth chart
Arizona Cardinals running back Chris Johnson could move up the depth chart for Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys, head coach Bruce Arians said.
Johnson rushed 11 times for 44 yards against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2 and easily looked like the Cardinals' best running back. Turning 32 on Saturday, look for the veteran to take over as the leader of Arizona's backfield committee versus the Cowboys. Kerwynn Williams and Andre Ellington figure to remain involved, but Johnson carries the most, albeit still limited, upside for fantasy owners.
Despite the likely promotion, Johnson's 4.4 FanDuel points in Week 2 were still short of what our models expected (5.1). Per numberFire Live, he finished with -2.42 Rushing Net Expected Points in Week 2, meaning a league average running back would have scored 2.42 more points than Johnson did if put in similar situations.
