Ty Montgomery continuing to operate as Packers' feature back
Green Bay Packers running back Ty Montgomery ran 10 times for 35 yards and a touchdown, adding six catches for 75 yards and another touchdown as his team lost to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday Night Football.
Through two games Montgomery is averaging just 3.1 yards per carry, but he is continuing to be used as the Packers' feature back. His passing game role grew in Week 2 with both Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb leaving due to injuries. Should one or both of those receivers miss next week's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Montgomery's overall usage would likely increase.
Montgomery scored 26 FanDuel points this week. He registered -0.79 Rushing Net Expected Points, per numberFire live.
