Ravens' Terrell Suggs tears Achilles', done for year
Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Terrell Suggs has been diagnosed with a torn left Achilles' and is done for the season.
"T-Sizzle" finds himself on the wrong side of 30, and with his second Achilles tear in his career, things aren't looking up for the proficient pass-rusher. He didn't miss a game from 2013 through 2014, but this will put him out for the year.
The Ravens' defense was an impressive unit in 2014, ranking fifth in the league in schedule-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points, but Suggs' loss is going to complicate matters. Courtney Upshaw and rookie Za'Darius Smith will have to pick up the slack, especially with proficient rusher Pernell McPhee departed in free agency.
