Ravens' Kenneth Dixon suspended two more games for violating substance abuse policy

Baltimore Ravens running back Kenneth Dixon has been suspended two additional games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

What It Means:

Dixon was already suspended four games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs so that makes six games total for the 23-year-old back. It's somewhat of a moot point, though, with Dixon ruled out for the season with a torn meniscus. The Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec reports that Dixon can serve all six games on injured reserve, but the Ravens could decide to move on from the troubled Dixon. Terrance West, Buck Allen and Danny Woodhead will serve as the team's backs in 2017.

Dixon showed promise as a rookie, rushing for 382 yards and 2 touchdowns (on 88 carries) while hauling in 30 passes for 162 yards and a score a year ago. He'll need to do a lot more to maintain his roster spot this coming offseason.
