Phillip Dorsett listed as third wideout on Patriots' depth chart
New England Patriots wide receiver Phillip Dorsett is third on the team's depth chart ahead of Week 2's matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
The Patriots added Dorsett just two weeks ago today via trade. However, with Julian Edelman (knee) out for the year and Danny Amendola (concussion, knee) inactive this Week 1, Dorsett trails only Brandin Cooks and Chris Hogan in the Patriots' wide receiver pecking order. While there have been reports of running back Rex Burkhead operating from the slot, Dorsett should get most of the work as the third receiver this week.
We expect Dorsett to garner just 2.4 targets, meanwhile producing 1.5 receptions, 21.2 yards and 0.16 touchdowns against the Saints. At just $4,800, Dorsett's projection of 3.9 FanDuel points probably isn't worthy of serious consideration in daily fantasy.
