Luke Kuechly ruled out with a concussion
Luke Kuechly has been ruled out of the Carolina Panthers' Week 1 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a concussion.
Kuechly picked up the concussion after a hard tackle on Jacksonville's T.J. Yeldon. He went straight to the locker room after the play and will now have to pass the league's concussion protocol before returning to play.
Nothing official has been announced yet about who is substituting for him while he misses time. Thomas Davis is the most likely option to see snaps in the middle with his absence, with Shaq Thompson possibly working into the lineup on the weak-side.
