Giovani Bernard leads Bengals' backfield in Week 2 snaps

Cincinnati Bengals running back Giovani Bernard led Bengals backs in snaps again, with 33 in Thursday night's loss to the Houston Texans.

What It Means:

According to Pro Football Focus' Nathan Jahnke, of 64 total snaps, Bernard played 51.6% of them as Joe Mixon (16 snaps) and Jeremy Hill (15) combined for just 31. Despite that, though, Bernard's 26 total yards weren't enough to lead the trio of backs. He was out-produced by the rookie Mixon, who produced 36 rush yards and 41 total yards on 10 touches.

While we project Mixon to lead the way in terms of rest-of-season production, Bernard is expected to finish as RB39, with projections of 697.0 total yards and 4.06 touchdowns over the next 14 games.
