Buccaneers' O.J. Howard not expected to do much in NFL debut

Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie tight end O.J. Howard isn't expected to be a focal point of the offense in Week 2 against the Chicago Bears.

What It Means:

It's common knowledge that tight ends tend to struggle during their rookie season and there were reports during the summer that Howard would be utilized more as a blocker while Cameron Brate will retain more of a pass-catching role. The 19th pick in this year's draft is bound to have some TE1 performances this season, but he's a risky play right out of the gates in his first NFL game.

numberFire's models project Howard to score 5.1 FanDuel points at a cost of $5,300 in Week 2. He's pegged for 3.8 targets, 2.5 receptions, 28.0 yards, and 0.18 touchdowns versus the Bears, making him the TE26 in our weekly fantasy rankings.
