Golden Tate's finger feeling 'good' ahead of Lions' Week 2 matchup

Detroit Lions wide receiver Golden Tate said that his injured finger "feels good" and that he doesn't think it's necessary for him to wear any protective gear for Monday's game against the New York Giants.

What It Means:

Tate didn't suffer any broken bones and is no longer wearing a splint on his injured left ring finger. After hauling in 10 passes for 107 yards last week, the wideout said he was in "a little pain" but that the finger was a non-issue during the performance.

With Detroit carrying an implied total of 20.0 points into this week's Monday night showdown, Tate is projected for 5.9 catches, 65.6 yards and 0.31 touchdowns on 9.1 targets. His projection of 11.6 FanDuel points ranks just 18th while his $7,400 salary ranks 12th among pass-catcher.
