Xavien Howard: Dolphins' DeVante Parker 'can be the best receiver' in NFL
Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard said that wide receiver DeVante Parker "can be the best receiver in this league."
What It Means:
Howard also said that he "want[s] to go against the best every day" and, while Parker is no Antonio Brown or Julio Jones, he does have a lot of promise. Quarterback Jay Cutler has already raved about Parker and compared him to an Alshon Jeffrey type. All that said, with Jarvis Landry opposite him, Parker could be in for a breakout season. But he is in for a tough matchup in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
As Parker goes head-to-head with one of the Chargers two top-notch corners, we project him for 4.1 catches, 50.9 yards and 0.30 touchdowns on 6.8 targets this week. At $6,400, his 9.0 FanDuel points trails Landry's 11.1.
