Texans' Brian Cushing suspended 10 games for PEDs
Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing has been suspended 10 games by the NFL for violating the league's policy on performance enhancing drugs.
This is Cushing's second PED ban after serving a four-game suspension in 2010. A third violation would result in at least a two-year ban. He wasn't expected to play in Week 2 after suffering a concussion in the season opener, but now the 30-year-old veteran will be out until Week 13.
Cushing recorded 3 tackles (1 solo) in the opener. Once he returns, numberFire's models project him for 31.0 tackles, 0.2 sacks, 0.8 deflected passes, 0.1 interceptions, 0.4 forced fumbles, and 0.2 fumbles recovered over the final five weeks of the season.
