Jaguars' Blake Bortles looking to write 'new narrative'

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles went just 11-for-21 for 125 yards and a touchdown in the team's 29-7 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday.

What It Means:

The numbers don't stick out -- at least, for the right reasons -- but Bortles said that his play is part of writing "a new narrative" and changing "the script" of his career as an NFL quarterback. He seems to be taking on more of a game manager role while alleviating himself of the anxiety that comes with a heavy workload.

According to our models, you can expect more of the same as Bortles takes on the Tennessee Titans in Week 2. We have the 4th-year quarterback down for 19.1 completions, 209.7 yards and 1.67 touchdowns. That would amount to 16.3 FanDuel points at a cost of $7,100 on this Sunday's slate.
