Jesse James

Jesse James not expected to be as involved for Steelers in Week 2

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Jesse James is projected to see 3.5 targets in Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings, per numberFire's weekly projections.

What It Means:

James saw 8 targets in Week 1, second-most on the team behind Antonio Brown. He finished with 6 catches for 41 yards and a pair of touchdowns for one of the most surprising TE1 performances of the season's opening week. As long as Le'Veon Bell and Martavis Bryant are active, fantasy owners won't be able to rely on this sort of workload for James, but the Steelers offense may be able to provide enough touchdown upside to keep him on the streaming radar throughout the season. However, Week 2 brings a much more daunting matchup against the Vikings.

Against the Vikings in Week 2, numberFire's models project James to score 4.3 FanDuel points at a cost of $5,400 with 2.2 catches for 22.4 yards and 0.16 touchdowns. He's the TE29 in our weekly fantasy rankings.
