George Kittle locked in as 49ers' starting tight end

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle played 54-of-57 (94.7 percent) offensive snaps against the Carolina Panthers in Week 1.

What It Means:

Kittle was on the field more than every other 49ers skill-player in the season opener. He also tied for 2nd in targets (6) while finishing 3rd in both receptions (5) and receiving yards (27). With a porous offensive line up front for San Francisco, Brian Hoyer may be forced into a lot of dump-offs and check-downs this season, so Kittle is someone to keep on the radar in deeper PPR formats.

Against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2, numberFire's models project Kittle to score 4.3 FanDuel points at a cost of $4,500 with 2.3 catches for 23.2 yards and 0.14 touchdowns. He's the TE30 in our weekly fantasy rankings.
