Cardinals hope David Johnson (wrist) is back by Christmas

Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said that the team is "hoping" that they can get running back David Johnson back by Christmas.

What It Means:

After undergoing wrist surgery, Johnson is set to miss two-to-three months, but if he were to return in Week 16 on Christmas Eve, that would be the three-and-a-half month mark. Until then, Johnson should remain on season-long I.R.'s as Kerwynn Williams, Chris Johnson and Andre Ellington attempt to fill the void left in the Arizona backfield.

Taking into account a 10-week absence, our models project Johnson for 544.9 rushing yards, 4.59 rushing scores and 121.0 fantasy points over the last 7 weeks of the season.
