Browns say DeShone Kizer 'gives us hope'

Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson said rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer "gives us hope."

What It Means:

Kizer had a promising debut in the NFL, going 20-for-30 with 222 yards, a touchdown and a pick. He was sacked 7 times, but he added 17 yards and another touchdown on the ground. Jackson gave his rookie starter some heavy praise on Monday, saying "when I looked up, the game was 21-10, and here we are in the fourth quarter with a chance to win the game late in the game, and that’s because of some plays he made." Kizer has a tough divisional road test in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Kizer posted a solid 19.58 FanDuel points in Week 1 after being projected for 14.26. Our models project him for 203.0 passing yards with 0.96 touchdowns and 0.9 interceptions in Week 2, which adds up to 13.7 FanDuel points at a cost of $6,800 in Baltimore.
