Jamaal Charles 'may be limited to 10 touches' in Broncos debut
Denver Broncos running back Jamaal Charles "may be limited to 10 touches or so" against the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night, writes Mike Klis of 9 News.
What It Means:
Noting his limited usage in the preseason and the injuries that kept him off the field for the majority of the past two years, Klis believes the Broncos will ease Charles back into things in Monday's season opener. He's not a recommended fantasy play in Week 1, but the 30-year-old back appears to be locked in as C.J. Anderson's primary backup.
numberFire's models project Charles to rush 6.8 times for 31.1 yards and 0.25 touchdowns in Week 1 versus the Chargers. He's expected to score 5.5 FanDuel points at a cost of $5,500.
