Raiders place Sebastian Janikowski (back) on IR
The Oakland Raiders have placed kicker Sebastian Janikowski on injured reserve, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Janikowski was questionable heading into the weekend, but it appears that he suffered a setback in his recovery from a back injury. Having been placed on IR, the 39-year-old will miss the first six weeks of the season, at the least. Giorgio Tavecchio has been promoted from the team's practice squad and will be the team's kicker until further notice.
With projections of 2.9 extra points, 2.0 field goals and 9.6 FanDuel points, Janikowski was set to be the highest-scoring kicker in Week 1. Tavecchio isn't on the DFS slate but is an option in deeper season-long leagues.
