Travaris Cadet (hamstring) inactive for Patriots
New England Patriots running back Travaris Cadet (hamstring) is inactive for Thursday night's season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
With Cadet and Legarrette Blount, the Patriots' backfield will be some mix of Dion Lewis, Brandon Bolden and James White.
ESPN Boston reporter Mike Reiss speculated earlier Thursday afternoon that Lewis -- who has reportedly won the first crack at the pass-game role -- could get the bulk of the touches tonight, but made sure to clarify it was a "total hunch." Cadet remains an intriguing play once he gets healthy, especially if Bolden, White and Lewis underperform in Week 1. Cadet caught 38 passes last year for New Orleans.
