Chiefs' Eric Berry (Achilles) is out for the season
Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid said that safety Eric Berry has a ruptured Achilles and is done for the season.
This confirms the Chiefs' worst fears. Berry endured the non-contact injury during Thursday night's game against the New England Patriots, and needed to be carted off the field.
Berry is widely considered one of the best safeties in the NFL. It's a tough break for a Chiefs defense that numberFire's models ranked as the 4th-best against the pass in 2016.
