Carr: Marshawn Lynch seems 'fresh, energized' to start the year for Oakland
Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch looks "fresh, energized" to start the season, according to quarterback Derek Carr.
Lynch is on the wrong side of 30 years old, often a bad sign for a running back, but Carr added that "I think a year off did him well, to be honest." Lynch is expected to be the Raiders bell-cow back, if he stays healthy, while DeAndre Washington is second on the depth chart.
numberFire's models project Lynch for 47.3 yards and 0.1 touchdowns on 11.5 carries, as well as 27.3 yards and 0.2 touchdowns on 3.3 receptions, making him our 14th-ranked fantasy running back for Week 1.
