Burkhead played the opening two snaps for New England before being replaced on third down by James White, who went on to lead the backfield with 43 snaps. Next was Mike Gillislee (24) and then Dion Lewis (6) behind Burkhead. He finished with 3 rushes for 15 yards and caught 1-of-3 targets for 8 receiving yards. The 27-year-old back won't be a recommended fantasy play in Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints.
