Eric Berry likely tore Achilles' tendon in Chiefs' win
Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Eric Berry is believed to have torn his Achilles' tendon in Thursday night's victory over the New England Patriots, head coach Andy Reid said.
"I don't think it's positive news," Reid admitted. Berry will undergo an MRI on Friday. He was spectacular on Thursday before going down and basically made Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski a non-factor. The eighth-year pro will turn 29 in December.
Berry racked up 7 tackles (4 solo) including 1 tackle for a loss. His loss is a tough blow for the Chiefs, who numberFire's models ranked as the 4th-best pass defense with a 14.34 pass defense rating.
