Latavius Murray says Vikings not choosing goal-line back yet
Minnesota Vikings running back Latavius Murray said the Vikings haven't settled on a goal-line back.
"We still need to go out there and play some games," said Murray. Many thought the former Oakland Raider would be the goal-line choice when he signed with the Vikings this offseason, but that hasn't turned out to be the case after Murray missed a portion of training camp with an ankle injury. The 27-year-old running back will likely vulture some scores from rookie Dalvin Cook this season, but the latter is the superior fantasy option in Minnesota's backfield.
numberFire's models have Murray as the 32nd-ranked fantasy back for Week 1. We project him for 41.1 yards and 0.3 touchdowns on 9.6 carries against the New Orleans Saints while scoring 7.3 FanDuel points at a cost of $5,800.
