Tampa Bay's Jameis Winston voted team captain second straight season
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston will be in a leadership role once again as he looks to make the leap in his third NFL season.
According to the Tampa Bay Times' Greg Auman, Winston is joined by wide receiver Mike Evans and four other key players in his captain role. But for Winston, it's different. After throwing 28 touchdowns and 18 picks a year ago, he'll be asked to cut down on the turnovers and keep up his productive play with the Buccaneers set to make a run this season.
With his Week 1 matchup with the Miami Dolphins was postponed until Week 11, Winston won't take the field until Week 2 against the Chicago Bears. From that point, we expect him to decrease his interception total (14.8) while throwing for more yards (4,181.5 yards) and nearly as many touchdowns (27.4) as our QB10 this season.
