Panthers expected to use Jonathan Stewart as short-yardage back
Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart will be used as the team's short-yardage back, according to Scott Fowler of The Charlotte Observer.
What It Means:
This isn't particularly surprising, as rookie Christian McCaffrey is expected to be used more in the passing game, but it does serve as a reminder that Stewart will still play a big role in Carolina this season.
