Tyrod Taylor (concussion) will start Week 1 for Buffalo

Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott confirmed that quarterback Tyrod Taylor has cleared the concussion protocol and will start Sunday's game against the New York Jets, per BuffaloBills.com's Chris Brown.

What It Means:

After suffering a concussion back on August 26th, Taylor was expected to be the Week 1 starter when healthy but this solidifies the situation in Buffalo. Nathan Peterman will serve as Taylor's backup for the time being but could grab starts if Taylor falters as the season goes on.

Facing the Jets, our models expect Taylor to pass for 205.8 yards and 1.22 touchdowns and also run for 34.1 yards and 0.37 touchdowns. His projection of 18.1 FanDuel points ranks 13th among quarterbacks while his $7,500 salary ranks 15th on the NFL's Week 1 slate.
