Leonard Fournette no lock to start for Jacksonville
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette is listed as co-starter, along with Chris Ivory and T.J. Yeldon on the first depth chart of the season.
Head coach Doug Marrone told reporters, "We'll see how the week goes. We'll see who will be back there" when asked who will get the start at running back in Week 1. While it is still assumed the rookie Fournette will earn the bulk of the carries for the Jags, the listing of co-starters could be a motivation tool by Marrone, to remind Fournette the job is not going to be just given to the first-round pick but needs to be earned. If the rookie makes it through this week's practice with no issues, expect him to start on Sunday versus the Houston Texans.
numberFire's algorithms project Fournette for 60.2 total yards and 0.3 touchdowns on 13.8 touches versus the Texans, making him our 26th-best running back on Sunday's main slate with 8.6 FanDuel points while costing $7,100.
