John Ross (knee) could return to Bengals for Week 3
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver John Ross has the potential to return Week 3, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Ross exited the Bengals' final preseason game with the injury, which has since been labeled a knee sprain. His timetable was set a a couple weeks so it's expected that Ross will sit out Weeks 1 and 2, with Week 2's matchup coming next Thursday against the Houston Texans. We could potentially see him Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers, but in what capacity remains to be seen. Until then, Tyler Boyd and Brandon LaFell will absorb even more targets for Cincinnati.
With the injury, our models project Ross for 62.8 targets, 36.6 receptions and 460.0 yards with 1.96 touchdowns to show for it in 2017. His projected 58.3 fantasy points rank 4th among Bengals pass-catchers and 78th of all fantasy receivers.
