Jacquizz Rodgers

Jacquizz Rodgers could be very active in Buccaneers' Week 1 passing game

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Jacquizz Rodgers is projected for 11 targets in the team's Week 1 matchup with the Miami Dolphins.

What It Means:

Although Charles Sims is expected to serve as Tampa Bay's third-down and passing back, Rodgers should see plenty of snaps on first, second and short-yardage downs. And, until Doug Martin (suspension) returns in Week 4, he'll be asked to shoulder the load for the Tampa Bay rushing game.

Rodgers' 11 targets are promising, but we project him for just 2.1 catches and 15.4 yards on those looks. That isn't to say that he won't have more production in Week 1, though. Our models like Rodgers to add 52.9 yards and 0.36 rushing scores on 12.5 attempts against the Dolphins' 24th-ranked defense from a year ago. All total, his 9.9 FanDuel points sit 18th among all rushers.
