Chiefs could use running back committee in Week 1
Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy indicated the team may employ a committee backfield in Week 1 against the New England Patriots.
Despite calling rookie Kareem Hunt the feature back, the Chiefs' coaching staff appears to be having second thoughts giving Hunt the entire workload. The rookie did struggle in pass protection during the preseason, indicating Charchandrick West or CJ Spiller could see an expanded role on third down or passing situations to start the season.
Our models project Hunt for 16.7 touches for 79.9 total yards and 0.3 touchdowns in a tough Week 1 matchup versus the Patriots on Thursday.
