Jonathan Williams a surprise cut by the Bills on Sunday
The Buffalo Bills have waived running back Jonathan Williams on Sunday.
A shocking move for the Bills as Williams was projected as the back running back to LeSean Mccoy in Buffalo, despite dealing with some injuries. The move now leaves 32-year-old Mike Tolbert as the number two back on the roster for 2017. Williams will be a highly sought after waiver pick up in the NFL as he rushed for 121 yards on 21 carries this preseason.
Our models projected Williams for 264.5 rushing yards and 0.9 touchdowns on 68.9 carries for Buffalo this season. Those numbers will obviously change, depending on where the 23-year-old lands.
