Chargers' Corey Liuget back at practice Wednesday
San Diego Chargers defensive end Corey Liuget returned to practice Wednesday and is expected to start Week 1, according to Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Liuget missed practice on Monday and ran sprints to the side instead due to an undisclosed injury.
The Chargers' defense can't afford to be without starters after finishing 2014 ranked 22nd in our schedule-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points (NEP) per play. They're paired with the Detroit Lions Sunday, who were 14th in NEP per play on the offensive side of the ball last year. Our projections have Liuget logging 60 tackles and 6 sacks on the season.
