Ezekiel Elliott (suspension) expected to play for Cowboys Week 1
Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott (suspension) has a "very good chance" to play Week 1 against the New York Giants, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
Elliott's appeal will be heard on Tuesday with a decision expected in the next week, but Florio believes that the running back will take the case to court if the ruling isn't in his favor. That would allow him to remain active while the legal situation runs its course, but it also increases the chances of him missing time later in the season, which could impact both real-life and fantasy playoffs.
If his suspension is upheld, numberFire's models project Elliott to rush 191.5 times for 916.2 yards and 7.34 touchdowns this season while catching 31.6 passes for 301.9 yards and 1.37 touchdowns. He's our 11th-ranked running back in fantasy for 2017.
