Chiefs' Spencer Ware has torn PCL, out for the season
Kansas City Chiefs running back Spencer Ware has been diagnosed with a torn PCL and will likely need season-ending surgery.
Ware has a sprained LCL in addition to the PCL tear after going down with a non-contact injury in Friday's preseason game. The back is expected to get a second-opinion, on if surgery is necessary, but Ware will miss the entire season with rookie Kareem Hunt assuming a heavy workload as the Chiefs' starting tailback.
Ware totaled 1,347 yards with 5 touchdowns in 2016 and was projected to be a top 15 back, by our models, for 2017. Hunt is now our RB13 with 151.8 fantasy points in standard leagues. He is currently being drafted in the seventh round, per FantasyFootball Calculator.com.
