Ka'Deem Carey

Bears' Ka'Deem Carey (wrist) on the shelf for six weeks

Chicago Bears running back Ka'Deem Carey will be out six weeks after undergoing surgery to repair his injured wrist.

What It Means:

The full extent of Carey's injury is unknown. Head coach John Fox said that it was bothering him and that it was an injury that Carey could have either played through or opted for the surgery. His timetable will likely keep him out for three or four weeks of the regular season, during which time Jeremy Langford, Benny Cunningham and Tarik Cohen will back up starter Jordan Howard in Chicago.

The Chicago backfield is packed, so it's not surprising that we project Carey for just 59.7 rushing yards and 0.5 touchdowns in 2017. He's not fantasy relevant and would only become an option if injuries took a run through the Bears' backs.
