Will Johnson to serve as Steelers' backup running back Thursday night
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Will Johnson will serve as the backup running back behind DeAngelo Williams in Thursday night's game against the New England Patriots.
Johnson has four carries during his entire career, but the Steelers have little options with Le'Veon Bell suspended for the first two games of the season. Dri Archer will also serve as a change-of-pace back.
The Steelers ranked 23rd in our schedule-adjusted Rushing Net Expected Points metric last season. Our algorithms project Johnson to post only one reception for seven yards during Thursday's game.
