Markus Wheaton (finger) undergoes surgery, out indefinitely for Bears
Chicago Bears wide receiver Markus Wheaton is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery for his broken left pinky.
Head coach John Fox was unwilling to predict a timetable for Wheaton's return, so it's tough to gauge when he'll be back. The 26-year-old former third-round pick was competing with Kendall Wright for the third receiver job in Chicago.
numberFire's models project Wheaton to catch 23.2 passes for 318.1 yards and 1.19 touchdowns this season.
