Tampa Bay's O.J. Howard to make biggest impact with run-blocking
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard is expected to make the biggest impact with run blocking in his rookie campaign.
Of all the Buccaneers' rookies, Howard's blocking skills are expected to be the most impactful of all. While Cameron Brate continues to act as the team's primary receiving tight end, Howard should slowly work his way into more routes. But, for now, he's going to be key to Jacquizz Rodgers and company gettting off to a quick start this season.
After an 8-touchdown season, our algorithms like Brate to tally 43.9 catches, 552.5 yards and 4.3 touchdowns as 2017's TE17. Howard, on the other hand, is projected for just 39.6 catches, 416.3 yards and 3.7 touchdowns as TE25. The dynamic of the two will be something to watch early on.
