Jared Cook adds stability to Raiders' tight end core

Oakland Raiders tight end Jared Cook saw action in the Raiders' second preseason game, catching 1 ball for 16 yards on his only target of the game.

What It Means:

Cook was in the game for just 15 snaps, so overall it was good to see one of the newest Raiders get involved. Offensive Coordinator Todd Downing touched on the addition of Cook earlier in training camp, saying, "we’re really excited about adding Jared Cook. You guys have seen his length and vertical speed." Cook seems to be third in line for targets, behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree, but he could be a nice end zone threat for Oakland as well.

Our models project Cook to rack up 517.7 receiving yards and 3.8 touchdowns on 48.6 catches. He ranks as numberFire's 22nd-best fantasy tight end for 2017.
