Lions' Matthew Stafford hasn't made 'any determination' on in-season contract talks yet
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford says he isn't sure if he wants to continue contract talks with the team once the 2017 season starts.
Stafford is entering his ninth NFL season, and he's in the final year of his current deal, which will pay him $16.5 million for 2017. Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press says Stafford is "expected to become the highest-paid player in the NFL on his next contract at more than $25 million per season, and any delay in negotiations likely will drive the price up."
Our models project Stafford to finish in the top-10 in passing yards in 2017, with 4219.0 yards. He's our 12th-ranked quarterback for fantasy football this season.
