De'Angelo Henderson

De'Angelo Henderson shining for Broncos in preseason

Denver Broncos sixth-round running back De'Angelo Henderson has rushed 13 times for 84 yards (6.46 yards per carry) and 1 touchdown through two preseason contests.

What It Means:

Henderson's highlight moment came on a 41-yard game-winning touchdown in the Broncos' preseason opener. The rookie out of Coastal Carolina is an intriguing late-round sleeper selection in fantasy drafts, as Denver's backfield situation is about as muddled as they come. C.J. Anderson is locked in as the starter to open the year, but Jamaal Charles isn't guaranteed to make the roster, and Devontae Booker is still recovering from wrist surgery. Depending on Anderson's health and effectiveness, Henderson could be in a workhorse role by the middle of the year if he continues to impress.

numberFire's models project Henderson to rush only 30.84 times for 119.9 yards and 0.36 touchdowns this season, with another 10.2 receptions for 117.1 yards and 0.36 touchdowns in the air, but that's based off Charles making the roster. He's the RB81 in our fantasy rankings for 2017.
