Jesse James locked in as Steelers' starter

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Jesse James is locked in as the team's starter, according to Steelers.com's Bob Labriola.

What It Means:

Promising second-year talent Xavier Grimble sparked some intrigue in camp, but he hasn't put together the consistency Pittsburgh needs from the position. For that reason, James' starting spot has gone unchallenged, so he will enter the season as the Steelers' top tight end again.

As a complementary piece to the Steelers' Killer B's, we project James for just 43 catches on 67.1 targets in 2017. His 429.3 yards and 2.7 touchdowns make him TE29 in our preseason rankings.
