Spencer Ware plays only one snap in the Chiefs' second preseason game
Kansas City Chiefs running back Spencer Ware played only one snap in the team's second preseason game on Saturday, though it was the team's first offensive snap of the game.
There's no question that Ware is the top dog in the Kansas City Chiefs backfield for now, but Kareem Hunt's impressive preseason performance does create some uncertainty around just how long Ware will hold that role. He rushed for a career-high 921 yards with 3 touchdowns on 214 carries while also turning 42 targets into 33 receptions, 447 yards and 2 touchdowns in 14 games last year.
numberFire's models project Ware for 204.4 carries for 858.1 yards and 5.2 touchdowns, as well as 37.3 receptions for 321.7 yards and 1.6 touchdowns through the air this year. He is our 12th-ranked fantasy running back.
