Josh McCown to be named Jets' starting quarterback next week
The New York Jets are expected to name quarterback Josh McCown their starter for Week 1 in a press conference next Monday, per Rich Cimini of ESPN.
Head coach Todd Bowles told reporters he would announce the team's starting quarterback for Week 1 of the regular season next Monday. With the uninspiring performances of Christian Hackenberg and Bryce Petty this preseason, it would be a major surprise if the veteran signal caller McCown was not named the club's starter.
Our models project McCown as the 30th-best quarterback in fantasy for 2017 with 3,333.2 passing yards, 18.1 touchdowns, and 13.6 interceptions this season.
